close to great attractions and perfect for city walking

During my stay, I loved how easy it was to explore nearby parks like Conkers and the charming Ashby Canal, making my city strolls delightful and refreshing, not to mention the lovely and well-maintained grounds of the hotel that instantly made me feel welcome. as a solo traveler, I felt safe here, which is a huge plus.

Plus, the buffet breakfast came packed with delicious choices that set the perfect tone for a day of adventure—each dish was hot and made to order! Unfortunately, I experienced a chilly room upon arrival, which made settling in quite uncomfortable. It took a long time for the heater to warm up, affecting my initial experience. the noise from the corridor was quite disruptive, making it hard to fully relax during my stay.

Great stay for the family!

We had a lovely welcome from the staff, who were super friendly! Our room was clean and had tons of space for the wheelchair. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day. Only thing was the decor seemed kinda old-fashioned, but it didn't ruin our fun at all. Loved the bar area too!

Had a great time with friends! Explored amazing indoor and outdoor enclosures with interactive experiences featuring over 500 animals. Enjoyed the all-weather skiing centre and the gym too. The hotel grounds were ideal for our dogs. Just note, the rooms were a bit warm, but windows opened nicely.

One downside was the chilly room on arrival. We had to request a heater, and it took a bit to warm up. Could've been better if they'd fixed that beforehand.
